Vietnam Video

Here is a short video that my husband and I put together.  It’s a bit of background on my story and our experiences at the Can Tho Oncology Hospital in southern Vietnam.

    i was a nurse in UK and am here in vietnam trying to get to the right person in the cancer hospitals in vietnam as i hv got a new gene replacement drug for solid tumor cancer and it works well, could u link me up to the oncologist drs here by any chance as my stay is very brief and am leaving on 9th decmeber, grateful if u could let me know more soon.

    Hi Carolyn
    My name is Tuyet Nguyen. I am a Nurse and also a Nurse Practitioner student at Mass General Institute in Boston, Ma. It’s past summer I too travel back to Vietnam and did missionary works as well as visited HCM cancer hospital and was overwhelm by the sights of these cancer patients had to face. I came back to the U.S. and had made a promise to these patients that I would do something and is in the process of doing my scholarly project and am looking forward to someday establishing a non profit organization program to help these cancer patients in Vietnam. I love your videos and I had also took some pictured and interview patients and their families and create a video of my own but I am also wondering if I can also share a it of your video to those I will be presenting for my research in conjunction with my videos. I hope we can exchange more informations and hopefully join hands together someday to do some meaningful works to help these cancer patients as well.     I am a photographer living in Westchester county, NY. I have been shooting commercial advertising for the past 20 years. I recently received a small business grant from British Airways. I won 10 business class flights to any 4 destinations that BA flies. It was a contest based on a series of essays that I wrote explaining how face to face travel could change my business and help it take a more photo journalistic path. My essays talked about the fact that I am a survivor of ovarian and endometrial cancers, and that since I have been sick, I have been looking for an opportunity to travel around the world documenting photographically how women with cancer are intrinsically connected. I would like to show how our struggles, hopes, joys, and concerns have no borders. That we share a common bond, regardless of where we live around the globe. This blog is hopefully going to document this journey over the next year.
